David Skaggs<\/strong> is the owner and operator of Dave’s World Art, headquartered in Sarasota,\u00a0 FL. This is a highly regarded artist in Sarasota County.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

David developed as an artist through a series of events five years ago.\u00a0 While off work due to some health issues, he began taking walks on the beach and finding interesting items that had washed up to shore.\u00a0 While recovering, he was looking for something to do and began creating works of art from these “found” items.\u00a0 That was only the beginning.\u00a0 David found so much joy in his creations and in the happiness that they brought to others.\u00a0 His main focus these days is to “make people happy” with his art.\u00a0 His motto is “Love is the World’s Heartbeat.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He started Dave’s World Art in 2014.\u00a0 You can find his art all around Sarasota and Manatee\u00a0 counties, as well as nationally.\u00a0 He will be part of the Village of the Arts in Bradenton for “A Village Fairyland” this coming weekend.\u00a0 Drop by and check out his Fairy Village, and other select Sculptures!\u00a0 He has great pieces for purchase and on display at the Historical Spanish Point Museum, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium\u00a0and local seafood restaurants as well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Dave’s World Art has been featured many places including\u00a0 the SunCoast View on WWSB, Channel 10, Sun Newspaper, the Herald Tribune and other local outlets.\u00a0 He has won numerous prizes from exhibitions of his Sculptures constructed from palm fronds and recycled materials, many washed ashore on Siesta Key Beach.\u00a0 He is currently working with USF and the Manatee School District for a Name the Manatee Project.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

In addition to running a successful art business, David supports many charitable organizations benefiting children and the arts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
