Bryant Collision Center
is hereby recognized as a
TOP GUN Professional Business!
Jason Whitecotton, you are considered a champion business owner for building and managing Bryant Collision Center, a auto body shop company in Vigo County.
Small businesses are the backbone of the United States economy.
The owners of these small businesses are entrepreneurs who often take many financial and business risks, provide employment opportunities, and add their creativity and ingenuity to the overall commerce of a local community, town, city, and county. Many business owners work long hours, endure challenging times, and make personal sacrifices.
Our research team at Expansion Support Services, owners of the County Advisory Board, identified Bryant Collision Center as a business that is appreciated by its customers and provides valuable services.
Bryant Collision Center is led by Jason Whitecotton, a third-generation member of the auto repair industry whose roots in the trade began with both his father and grandfather. Jason began working at Bryant Collision Center in 2001 as a shop hand, assisting technicians and learning every aspect of the business from the ground up.
During those early years he worked under Bill and Mike, a respected father-and-son ownership team who built a strong reputation for quality and integrity in the community. After the passing of Bill’s son, Mike, Jason stepped forward to help support the business and became Bill’s trusted right hand.
Jason’s dedication, work ethic, and commitment to the company eventually led to a major milestone. At the age of 82, Bill made the decision to sell Bryant Collision Center to Jason, placing the future of the business in the hands of someone who had grown with the company and understood the values it was built upon.
Today, Jason continues to operate Bryant Collision Center as a family-run business, with his children involved in the company. Their involvement helps ensure the business maintains the same family-oriented atmosphere, strong work ethic, and high-quality service that customers have come to expect.
Another key part of the business’s continued success is Jason’s brother, Ted Shaffer, who plays an important leadership role within the company. Ted serves as a supervisor overseeing the technicians and parts operations, and most importantly as the production manager, helping ensure the shop maintains an efficient workflow and consistently delivers a high level of service to its customers.
The company’s continued success speaks to the dedication and ability of Jason Whitecotton and his team to overcome the many business obstacles and barriers that are part and parcel to business ownership.
Beyond running a successful business, Jason is also known for giving back to his community. Bryant Collision Center and Jason have supported various local youth sports leagues, veterans’ organizations, the police department, local churches, and community charities, including Sycamores-related charitable efforts.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys hunting, fishing, and restoring classic cars. However, most of his free time is devoted to what he values most — spending time with his five grandchildren.
We take this moment to acknowledge and thank Jason Whitecotton for the past, present, and future contributions that Bryant Collision Center and its staff have made and will continue to make in Vigo County.
