When he returned to the States, he started working for an Estate Packing Company doing junk removal. During that time, he noticed that many items being discarded as trash still had significant value.
This realization led him to start an eBay store called Great Exchange Liquidators. For six months, Joseph saved all of the proceeds from the store with a vision of purchasing a truck and trailer to start a family business. That vision soon became reality with the launch of Great Exchange Junk Removal, a family-owned, Christian-based company committed to serving people first.
Today, the company has grown to include two trailers and multiple employees. The mission of the business is centered around helping people and treating customers with respect and care. Joseph often begins each day praying for the needs of his customers and strives to ensure that every client receives the best possible service.
Great Exchange Junk Removal also believes in giving back to the community. The company has helped lower-income individuals and families by providing services during times of need and continues to support a local ministry that carries on ministry work. They have also signed up with the South Carolina emergency response system to be available to help residents during natural disasters.
Outside of work, Joseph and Christy enjoy investing in their community and family life. They regularly work with local young adults mentoring them on a path to christianty, encourage their daughter’s passion for music, and enjoy spending quality time together, including taking long walks as a family.
