In the spring of 2013, as Bern began experiencing health issues, the two reached an agreement for Steve to take over the business, continuing its legacy with the same commitment to quality and service.
Under Steve’s leadership, the business has continued to grow. In 2024, Bern’s Body Shop expanded its operations by installing a new, larger paint booth and adding additional service stalls, further enhancing its ability to serve customers efficiently and effectively.
Beyond business success, Steve and his family are deeply committed to giving back to the community. Bern’s Body Shop regularly donates to numerous organizations, including local seminaries, booster clubs, and youth programs. The company actively supports baseball, softball, wrestling, and summer league teams, with a strong focus on local youth clubs, 4-H programs, and county fair activities. They also consistently participate in golf tournaments that benefit local schools.
Bern’s Body Shop is truly a family-run business, operated by Steve and his wife, reflecting their shared values of hard work, community involvement, and dedication. Outside of work, they enjoy cruising, fishing, watching Nebraska Huskers games, and playing golf.
