For owner Brandon Baur, Big Truck Service is much more than a business—it’s a family legacy.
In 1997, when Brandon was just seven years old, his father purchased Big Truck Service. From an early age, Brandon loved spending time at the shop, watching the work being done and developing a passion for the trucking industry and the people who depend on it. Those early experiences laid the foundation for what would eventually become his life’s work.
After graduating from high school, Brandon attended school to become a diesel mechanic with hopes of entering the industry. When work wasn’t immediately available, he accepted an opportunity as a commercial fisherman. After returning home, he spent more than a decade working in a machine shop, where he developed valuable mechanical skills, precision, and a strong work ethic that would later benefit the family business.
When Brandon’s father decided it was time to retire in 2020, Brandon returned to Big Truck Service to learn every aspect of the operation. He immersed himself in the business, learning the ropes alongside his father. By 2021, Brandon proudly purchased the company, continuing the family tradition while bringing fresh energy and a renewed commitment to exceptional customer service.
Today, Brandon is in the shop every day, working alongside his team and providing the personal attention that customers have come to expect. He understands that every truck represents someone’s livelihood, and his philosophy is simple: get people back on the road as quickly and safely as possible. Whether serving independent owner-operators or commercial fleets, Brandon and his team know that minimizing downtime is essential, and they take pride in delivering honest, dependable repairs that keep their customers moving.

When he’s away from the shop, Brandon enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. He proudly supports his family’s passion for rodeo, cheering on his wife in barrel racing and his daughter as she competes in junior rodeo. He also enjoys working around the yard, spending time outdoors, and riding his dirt bike whenever he gets the opportunity. Brandon and his family believe strongly in supporting local rodeos and community events whenever possible, recognizing the important role they play in bringing families together and strengthening the local community.
