When it comes to food service, there is nothing that takes the place of experience. Chicago Joe’s was started by Grandpa Rompza in 1988. Now in its 3rd generation of family restaurateurs, apprenticing and learning the business by doing every job has made for a made for a smooth transition.
AJ and Brad are brothers and have 3 sisters as well. AJ also owns and operates Burwood Tap.
Brad has had a deep passion for community, helping others and serving great food. He began working in the restaurant business since he was 15 yrs old. Applying basic principles of “thinking outside the box” and “not sweating the small stuff”, Brad helps retain the loyal and faithful Chicago Joe’s customers by turning out great food and drinks while creating and maintaining friendly relationships.
AJ, a Chicago basketball legend from Whitney Young went on to become an All-Academic and All Conference college player at University of Central Florida, the largest university in Florida. Bringing his smarts, aggressiveness, and an understanding of social media marketing (60,000+ followers on Instagram) back to the neighborhood, Chicago Joe’s is bridging generational gaps ensuring a successful future.
