Dr. Larsen’s path to dentistry began far from the dental office. He spent his early years on his family’s dairy farm in Preston, Idaho, before graduating from Preston High School. After serving an LDS mission in South Africa, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and later graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 1978. He then served three years as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, before establishing his private dental practice in Provo, Utah, in 1981.
Over the decades, Dr. Larsen’s commitment to dentistry has extended well beyond his own practice. He has served as president of both the Provo District Dental Society and Utah Dental Association, represented Utah as a delegate to the American Dental Association national convention, served with the Utah State Dentist/Dental Hygienist Licensing Board, worked as a grading examiner with the Western Regional Examining Board, and taught at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine.
At Gentle Dental Arts, that experience is combined with a strong emphasis on personalized care and patient comfort. Dr. Larsen and his team work to create a warm, professional, and relaxed environment where patients receive clear communication and individualized attention. The staff strives to go above and beyond to make patients comfortable while maintaining an upbeat, positive atmosphere and bringing a little fun to an experience that many people may otherwise find stressful.
