Determined to continue providing for his family, he returned to the locksmith industry and once again started at the bottom as a locksmith helper. Through hard work, dedication, and careful saving, he was eventually able to invest in a website that began generating customers and commercial accounts.
For nearly a year, Jim operated his locksmith business out of his personal vehicle, performing lockouts and service calls while building his reputation one customer at a time. When the opportunity arose to purchase his first company vehicle, the asking price was $10,000—an amount that was beyond his reach at the time. Then came a life-changing early morning phone call from his brother.
His brother called and asked, “Would $10,000 mean anything to you?” He explained that he had experienced a dream telling him he should help one of his brothers with $10,000 but was unsure which one. That blessing provided Jim with the opportunity he needed to move forward. Remarkably, when the owner of the vehicle heard the story, he was so touched that he reduced the purchase price from $10,000 to $7,500, creating yet another unexpected blessing and helping Jim take the next step toward growing his business.
Jim’s faith continued to sustain him through additional health battles, including open-heart surgery. According to his doctors, the severity of the blockage they discovered made his survival nothing short of miraculous. Through it all, Jim remained committed to his family, his faith, and serving his community.
Today, Am Pm Lock & Key is known not only for its locksmith services but also for its commitment to helping others. Jim and his business support local churches, youth sports programs, charitable causes, and nonprofit organizations throughout the community.
