After a year out of college a friend introduced John to the Real Estate industry. John first got involved in the business in 1971 after 4 years of college.
John has owned real estate companies in 3 states. He has taught real estate at colleges in California and Oregon. John started with Forest E. Olson Realtors as a salesman 1971. John was appointed manager of the Camarillo office in 1972. January of 1974 John opened his first real estate office, which was John Funk Real Estate. John earned a scholarship at USC business school for his senior year 1969 – 1970. 1974 – 1981 John won #1 office in California. John is president of Rotary for an unprecedented 5 years. Rotary is a service club that started in 1935 and has been eradicating polio internationally, among the other good work that they do.
