After leaving the United States Army in 1975, Mike Finley worked several different jobs while deciding what direction he wanted to take professionally. That changed when he came across an advertisement for a position as a locksmith apprentice. Mike took the opportunity and quickly fell in love with the locksmithing industry.
What began as an apprenticeship developed into what Mike describes as a glorious career in the locksmith profession. He spent many years in the Phoenix area working with different locksmith companies, gaining extensive hands-on knowledge and experience along the way.
Eventually, Mike decided it was time to retire and moved to Santa Fe to enjoy retirement. However, retirement did not last forever. One day, Mike needed locksmith assistance with one of his older vehicles and discovered that he had difficulty finding someone locally who could handle what he needed. With decades of locksmithing knowledge behind him, Mike recognized a need in the Santa Fe market.
Combined with the fact that he was getting a little bored sitting around retired, that need gave Mike a reason to get back to doing something he truly enjoyed. Finleys Locksmithing was born.
Today, Mike brings his years of experience and an old-fashioned approach to customer service to every call. One of the things that separates Finleys Locksmithing from many larger companies is simple: when customers call, the owner answers the phone—not a robot or an impersonal automated system.
Mike personally shows up for his service calls and believes customers deserve honest, straightforward, friendly service with a smile—just like the old days.
