Ashwood Tree Removal

is hereby recognized as a

TOP GUN Professional Business!

Phillip Bell, you are considered a champion business owner for building and managing Ashwood Tree Removal, a  Tree Service company in Jackson County.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy.

The owners of these small businesses are entrepreneurs who often take significant financial and business risks, provide employment opportunities, and contribute their creativity and ingenuity to the commerce of their local communities, towns, cities, and counties. Many business owners work long hours, overcome challenging times, and make considerable personal sacrifices.

Our research team at Expansion Support Services, owners of the County Advisory Board, identified Ashwood Tree Removal as a business that is appreciated by its customers and provides valuable professional tree services throughout Jackson County and the surrounding communities.

The story of Ashwood Tree Removal began while owner Phillip Bell was attending college. During the summers, he worked with an older neighbor and gained hands-on experience completing landscaping projects. After graduating with a degree in forestry, Phillip was introduced through a close friend to the owner of a tree company, where he learned how to climb trees professionally.

Phillip quickly discovered that he had a natural talent for the work. His ability, dedication, and leadership made such a strong impression that he rapidly progressed from learning the trade to managing crews and ultimately becoming a co-owner all within approximately three years.

After eventually walking away from that company to pursue his own vision, Phillip formed Ashwood Tree Removal LLC. He sold his house and moved back to the area where he grew up so he could build his company closer to his family and community.

During his early years in the tree-service industry, Phillip worked part-time for several different companies. This gave him the opportunity to observe businesses ranging from small operations with very little equipment to larger companies using the latest state-of-the-art machinery. He saw firsthand how companies differed in their operating procedures, safety practices, workmanship, and cleanup standards. Those experiences taught him valuable lessons about what to do and what not to do when operating his own company.

Most importantly, Phillip learned that the foundation of a successful business is how people are treated. He believes in paying employees well, being fair, and treating every person with the utmost dignity and respect. He has remained committed to never allowing the pursuit of profit to cloud his judgment or compromise his standards, values, or responsibilities to his employees and customers.

Outside of work, Phillip enjoys spending time in nature with his wife. He is an avid hunter and also enjoys fishing and archery. His involvement in athletics extends to serving as a high school wrestling referee at the national level, and he is currently working toward advancing to officiating at the collegiate level.

Phillip’s connection to the outdoors is also an important part of his community service. Since his sophomore year of college, he has helped organize memorable hunting experiences for children and adults with disabilities. Today, he serves on the board of Mikki’s Mission, a nonprofit organization that takes individuals with disabilities hunting on the opening days of turkey and deer seasons.

These events are designed to create an enjoyable and meaningful experience not only for the participants, but also for their families. Phillip also works with the Outdoor Dream Foundation, which helps provide outdoor adventures for young people facing disabilities and terminal illnesses. His continued involvement reflects his desire to use his experience and love of the outdoors to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

The continued success of Ashwood Tree Removal speaks to Phillip Bell’s knowledge, dedication, leadership, and ability to overcome the many obstacles and challenges that are part and parcel of business ownership.

We take this moment to recognize and thank Phillip Bell for the past, present, and future contributions that Ashwood Tree Removal and its staff have made and will continue to make throughout Jackson County, Georgia.
