Sisu Tree Care
is hereby recognized as a
TOP GUN Professional Business!
Shannon Hyde, you are considered a champion business owner for building and managing Sisu Tree Care, a tree service company in Kelowna County.
Small businesses are the backbone of an economy.
The owners of these small businesses are entrepreneurs who often take many financial and business risks, provide employment opportunities, and add their creativity and ingenuity to the overall commerce of a local community, town, city and county. Many business owners work long hours, endure challenging times, and make personal sacrifices.
Our research team at Expansion Support Services, owners of the County Advisory Board, identified Sisu Tree Care as a business that is appreciated by its customers and provides valuable tree care, landscaping and property maintenance services throughout Kelowna and the Central Okanagan.
Sisu Tree Care was started in 2024 by Shannon Hyde, who brings 15 years of experience in the tree care and landscaping industry to the company. Shannon is an ISA Certified Arborist and leads the team with a focus on safety, quality workmanship and professional service. The company provides a wide range of services, including tree assessments, structural tree pruning, tree removal and stump grinding, landscaping, garden and hedge installation, lawn maintenance, irrigation systems, patios, hardscaping, xeriscaping and seasonal property maintenance.
The company understands the unique challenges of maintaining properties in the Okanagan climate, including extreme summer heat, dry periods, sudden windstorms and heavy snow loads. Sisu Tree Care takes a long-term approach to tree and property care, focusing on plant health, structural integrity, water efficiency and maintaining safe and attractive outdoor spaces.
The company’s continued success speaks to the dedication and ability of Shannon Hyde to build a growing local business while overcoming the many challenges and barriers that are part and parcel to business ownership. Shannon and the SISU team serve property owners throughout Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, Vernon, Penticton, Revelstoke and Osoyoos.
Sisu Tree Care also goes beyond its regular tree and property services by helping the community with cat rescue. The team provides 24/7 cat rescue services throughout the Okanagan and supports the local Okanagan Humane Society through donations from its rescue services. This is an example of the company’s willingness to use its skills and resources to help local residents and animals when they are in need.
We take this moment to acknowledge and thank Shannon Hyde and the Sisu Tree Care team for the past, present and future contributions that Sisu Tree Care and its staff have made and will make in Kelowna and throughout the Central Okanagan.
